Rattlers Kill the Stingers' Buzz

The Saskatchewan Rattlers defeated the hometown Edmonton Stingers by a score of 85-81 in the first game of a late-season home-and-home series between the CEBL's prairie squads. The Rattlers led for most of the game, but the Stingers flirted with a late comeback. To his credit, Marlon Johnson really brought the ruckus for Rattlers, setting up some key baskets and netting a few of his own. Chad Posthumus, meanwhile, lived large in the paint. His defense helped weather the swarm around the rim as the Stingers valiantly fought back. With the victory, the Rattlers ended the Stingers' nine game winning streak, while extended their own streak to four in a row. They'll look to make it five straight tomorrow night in Saskatoon.
